My Christmas List

I have a list of folks I know,
All written in a book,
And every year when Christmas comes,
I go and take a look.
That is when I realize
These names are all a part,
Not of the book they’re written in,
But of my very heart.
For each name stands for someone
who has crossed my path sometime,
And in that meeting they’ve become
the rhythm in each rhyme.
While it may sound fantastic
for me to make this claim,
I feel that I’m composed
of each remembered name.
And while you may not be aware
of any special link,
Just meeting you has changed my life
much more than you may think.
For once I’ve met somebody,
the years cannot erase
The memory of a pleasant word
or of a friendly face.
So, never think my Christmas cards
are just a mere routine
Of names upon a Christmas list,
forgotten in between.
For when I send a Christmas card
that is addressed to you,
It’s because you’re on the list
of folks I’m endeared to.
For I am but a total
of the many folks I’ve met,
And you happen to be one of those
I prefer not to forget.
Whether I have known you
for many years or few,
In some way you have had a part
in shaping things I do.
And every year when Christmas comes
I realize anew.
The best life can offer
is meeting folks like you.
So, may the spirit of Christmas
that forevermore endures
Leave its rich blessings
in the hearts of you and yours.~George A. Gladden- “My Christmas Card List”

Good Monday to you all!  And this is probably my last chance to wish some of you a Merry Christmas.  So there, I’ve done it.

Last week of the CTP Teams season is upon us.  Consider this a spoiler alert:  The annual prizes are set.  We know who wins, who takes second and who is third.  Unless Matt decides to disband the SurfAholics Alpha in the next 6.5 days, they win.  The Lucky 13 takes second and is the only team in the same zip code as SAA.  CSN takes third with a good steady effort over the long run….

This last week showed some of the same, and some changes.  SAA won comfortably, but the UberSurfers put out a huge effort to take second place.  Believe me, I KNOW how much effort that took.  Congratulations.  Lucky 13 was third with a very decent point total.

I see multiple teams setting themselves up to carve a bigger share of the pie for this upcoming season.  Should be some very real excitement for the new season.  I’m looking forward to it.  Let’s see who has what.

One week left, and only 2 teams have been in the Premier League every week.  SAA and Lucky 13.  Any body want to bet that both teams finish the season that way??

I’m going to leave you with a song.  The Gibb brothers doing  “Ch ch ch changes”.  Hold on to your hats, changes are a coming!

I note that Sunny has updated wordpress on this website.  Means I can safely update mine:)  I always like to wait a while for wordpress.  The next time they have a screwed up update will not be the first.  Thanks Sunny, for all of it.  Your help is indispensable for Lucky 13.

My very most sincere good wishes for the Holidays, no matter what you celebrate, or even if you don’t.  I wish for you everything you wish for, and then some

Make a comment please

My fellow team member Lynn M. wrote a wonderful post about Taking Action –

It got me to thinking about commenting on things like blog posts that we read.

Often people tell me that they liked a post that I wrote, or I see them tell someone else that, but I hardly ever see a comment given on the blog in question.

It’s similar to what Lynn said – it only takes a few seconds. Don’t get me wrong, I’m guilty of it myself. There was a time when I made it a point to try to comment on everyone’s blog post here on the Lucky 13 blog, but then life got a bit busy for me.

What Lynn wrote and what our fearless leader Tom Wacker has been writing about on his personal blog lately has been a motivation for me in many ways.

We should all take a moment to reflect on things like this.

There is so much I need to do in order to get my Internet Marketing act together. I am working on it. Reading things like the blog posts from Lynn and Tom help keep me motivated.

What keeps YOU motivated?

Till next time!
